On the basis of many years of theoretical and applied research and development at the university formed recognized in Ukraine and abroad scientific schools that create the main scientific potential of the university:
Fault-tolerant high-performance ADCs and DACs with excess weight for recording, processing and scrambling signals (Ph.D. – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine OD Azarov). Research within the scientific school has been conducted since 1980. To date, 1 doctor and 10 candidates of sciences have been trained in the scientific school.
Theory of calculation and development of vibration and vibration shock processes and machines (Ph.D. – Prof. Dr. RD Iskovich-Lototsky). Research in the field of scientific school began in 1967 under the leadership of Ph.D., Assoc. IB Matveeva. Since 1987, after defending his doctoral dissertation, the school was headed by a student IB Matveeva – RD Iskovich-Lototsky. To date, 1 doctor and 13 candidates of sciences have been trained in the scientific school.
Development of methods and tools for mathematical modeling and information processing in computerized systems of automation and control (Ph.D. – Ph.D., Prof. RN Kvetny). Research within the scientific school has been conducted since 1993. To date, the scientific school has trained 2 doctors and 16 candidates of science.
Optical-electronic and information-energy technologies. (Ph.D. – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine VP Kozhemyako). Research within the scientific school has been conducted since 1977. To date, 4 doctors and 51 candidates of sciences have been trained at the scientific school.
Creation of theory, mathematical models and methods of synthesis of complex control systems, diagnostics and management in industry, aerospace and defense (Ph.D. – Ph.D., Prof., Honored Scientist of the USSR, laureate of the State Prize of the USSR I. V. Kuzmin). Research within the scientific school has been conducted since 1964. To date, the scientific school has trained more than 10 doctors and more than 30 candidates of science.
Automation of optimal control of power systems (Ph.D. – Prof. PD Lezhnyuk). Research within the scientific school has been conducted since 1979. To date, 1 doctor and 22 candidates of sciences have been trained in the scientific school.
Development of mathematical models of processes occurring in energy and environmental systems, information and measurement systems and systems of automatic and automated control of these processes (Ph.D. – Academician of APNU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine BI Mokin). Research within the scientific school has been conducted since 1972. To date, the scientific school has trained 9 doctors and more than 30 candidates of science.
Phenomenological criteria for the destruction of solid, porous and composite materials within large plastic deformations and their application to solve technological problems of mechanics (Ph.D. – Ph.D., Prof. VA Ogorodnikov). Research within the scientific school has been conducted since 1972. To date, the scientific school has trained 3 doctors and 15 candidates of science.
Research of physical processes in gaseous and semiconductor media and development of microelectronic devices on this basis (Ph.D. – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine VS Osadchuk). Research within the scientific school has been conducted since 1965. To date, the scientific school has trained 6 doctors and 22 candidates of science.
Heat exchange and hydrodynamics of multicomponent polyphase flows and media in the elements of heat and biotechnological equipment; analysis and synthesis of heat and biotechnological systems (Ph.D. – Professor, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine SY Tkachenko). Research within the scientific school has been conducted since 1967. To date, 1 doctor and 12 candidates of sciences have been trained in the scientific school.
Negatronics (MA Filinyuk, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine). Research within the scientific school has been conducted since 1985. To date, the scientific school has trained 2 doctors and 14 candidates of science.
