Scientific and scientific-technical cooperation of Vinnytsia National Technical University with foreign organizations was carried out in the following areas:
- cooperation within the framework of existing joint agreements, treaties, structures;
- creation of joint scientific and educational structures;
- implementation of joint research programs, projects, etc .;
- participation of university scientists in foreign exhibitions, conferences, seminars, etc .;
- internships for scientists, student youth abroad;
- invitation of foreign scientists to conduct joint scientific and technical events;
- participation of students, university student teams in international competitions, contests, conferences, etc.
The work of VNTU in the direction of preparation and implementation of international projects of the Tempus-Tacis program according to the priorities of the General Directorate for Education and Science of the European Commission is successful. An example is the successful implementation in 1995-96 of a joint project with the Danish Technical University of Copenhagen and the Lund University Institute of Technology in Sweden, dedicated to the creation of organizational structures and training programs at VNTU masters according to Western European standards.
During 2004-2007, a consortium of universities from Ukraine, England, France, Germany, Spain and Denmark implemented the following projects:
“European Students Self-Governance Practice in Ukrainian Universities” (based on the study of extensive experience in organizing student self-government activities in European universities developed promising models of student self-government practice in Ukrainian universities in accordance with the Bologna Process);
“European Experience in University Fundraising for Ukraine” (within the framework of this project the European experience of attracting resources of third-party organizations for the development of university infrastructure was studied. The practical result of the project was the construction of an ice palace on the university);
“All-Ukrainian Network of Regional Consultant Points” (within the framework of this project, regional advisory centers of the ECTS system have been established in the participating universities).
In 2007-2009, a consortium of universities from Ukraine, Germany, Italy and Denmark implemented projects:
“Development of Strategy of UA Students International Mobility Using the ECTS Opportunities” (developed methodological materials for informing students about opportunities and procedures for studying abroad);
“Information Security and Data Protection (Issues and Principles, Implementation and Management) – EU Experience in UA Universities” (within the project developed special courses “Information Security” and “Data Protection” for students of economic specialties with appropriate educational and methodological support).
VNTU is one of the top ten European universities from Austria, England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Finland, Hungary, Ukraine and Sweden, which are involved in a multi-stage project “European Network Among the University Students’ Association”, funded by a grant provided by the Government of Italy. The project aims to create conditions for closer communication between young people, focused on the protection of European values, the unity of the European Community.
